Our mission is to offer the finest full-potency extracts made from the freshest, highest-quality plants available.
Herbal medicine is as old as humankind and as widespread as the occurrence of communities. Herbal medicine is based on an intimate, practical knowledge of plants handed down for hundreds of generations while acknowledging the unique needs of individuals. While diet, exercise, and increased self-awareness form the foundation of health, fresh herbal therapy provides one of the key elements in the process of self-care.
We grow and wildcraft herbs in our bioregion and we source consciously wildcrafted plants from Hands On Organic, certified organic herbs from Pacific Botanicals, and local small farmers.
Each phase of the production, from growing and selecting herbs, to the lengthy process of herbal extraction we do ourselves.
Our Compounds are synergistic combinations of herbs for a wide variety of common health concerns.
Liquid herbal extracts or tinctures are considered one of the most effective ways to take herbal supplements.
Unlike pills and capsules, liquid herbal extracts are immediately absorbed and assimilated into the bloodstream. Extracts are created by soaking herbs in a liquid menstruum of organic grain alcohol, water, kosher vegetable glycerin, or any combination of these.
This herb and menstruum mixture is mixed and turned for a minimum of two to four weeks and then pressed and filtered to leave a pure liquid herbal extract.
The quality and source of herbs used are of the highest importance. We have concentrated our efforts on obtaining fresh herbs picked at the optimum time for maximum potency.
We extract all of our herbs with gluten free, certified organic pharmaceutical grade grain alcohol.
Adaptogenic Tonic
Eleuthero, Ashwagandha, Rhodiola, fresh Holy Basil, Schisandra, fresh Bacopa, Licorice
A tonic formula to help the body adapt to stress, support the metabolic process, and restore balance.
~Herbs~
Eleuthero Eleutherococcus senticosis root
This herb normalizes blood pressure and reduces fatigue, stress, and depression. Eleuthero is a well researched herb for balancing endocrine activity, promoting strength and energy, and enhancing work or athletic performance. It acts on the adrenal glands to normalize stress hormone (cortisol) levels thereby smoothing out the peaks and valleys of energy that characterize chronic stress.
Ashwagandha Withania somnifera root
The root of this plant is a calming adaptogen that enhances endocrine function especially helping to regulate the adrenal glands and stimulate the thyroid, making it useful in hypothyroidism. Ashwagandha also has nervine properties making it effective for anxiety, fatigue, cloudy thinking, stress-induced insomnia, and nervous exhaustion. It is rich in iron and can be used for iron-deficient anemia. In Ayurvedic medicine it is used for prolonging life, stimulating the mind, and enhancing vigor and sexual function.
Rhodiola Rhodiola rosea dry root
This semi succulent plant is a powerful adaptogen and antioxidant that enhances cognition, reduces stress and fatigue, stimulates the immune system and helps to alleviate depression. It brews a pink tea tea that smells and tastes reminiscent of rose petals.
Holy Basil Ocimum sanctum fresh leaf and flower
Holy Basil is sacred to the Hindu God Vishnu and is used in morning prayers to insure personal health, spiritual purity, and family well-being. It helps reduce the negative effects of stress by lowering cortisol production in the adrenals and helps to maintain normal blood sugar levels. This sweet warm herb is also used to enhance cerebral circulation and promote focused clarity. The daily use of Holy Basil is believed to help maintain the balance of the chakras of the body and is capable of bringing on goodness, virtue, and joy in humans.
Schisandra Schisandrae chinensis berries
Schisandra is a mild central nervous system stimulant that enhances reflexes, work performance, and mental activity. At the same time, it is calming and helps relieve anxiety and stress-induced asthma palpitations. The berries enhance the endocrine system and non-specific immune system function which is most affected by stress and is inhibited by chronic anxiety, anger, depression, and fear. Studies have found Schisandra to have an amphoteric effect on blood pressure, lowering elevated blood pressure and raising low blood pressure.
Bacopa Bacopa monnieri fresh plant
Bacopa is the primary botanical used since the 6th century to support mental acuity. Modern research has shown that it exhibits an antioxidant effect directly on memory centers of the brain and can reduce the effects of stress on the brain. It is used to promote memory and focus, relieve anxiety, and slow the progression of Alzheimer's disease. It is also used for children and adults with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and effective for people recovering from head trauma injuries.
Licorice Glycyrrhiza glabra dried root
This sweet root is an effective adaptogen, anti-inflammatory, and hepatoprotective agent. It is effective for adrenal insufficiency with symptoms of fatigue, tiredness upon waking, elevated cortisol and blood sugar levels, and frequent colds. It has been used for thousands of years in Chinese medicine to harmonize herbal formulas.
~Actions and Indications~
Adaptogens are remarkable natural substances that help the body adapt to stress, support normal metabolic functions, and help restore balance. These botanicals increase the body's resistance to physical, biological, emotional, and environmental stressors and provide a defense response to acute or chronic stress. They can restore the balance of the endocrine hormones, modulate the immune system, and allow the body to maintain optimal homeostasis. This formula may be used with frequent or prolonged stress including injury, illness, prolonged pain, overwork, or severe exertion, mental strain, worry, and anxiety. It is also extremely effective as a maintenance tonic to counteract the process of aging, promote strength and stamina, and prevent illness.
~Dose~
Maintenance tonic: Take 40 - 60 drops in a little warm water two to three times per day.
Restorative tonic: Take 40 - 60 drops in a little warm water three times per day for at least three months for full results. Do not use during acute cold or flu symptoms.
